Seinäjoki physical node

The center in Seinäjoki consists of a home like environment where one can explore and test various assisted living technologies provided by different health technology companies. The center provides information on the home care support solutions and their usage to different target groups. Among the usual visitors are senior citizens and their family members and/or caretakers, as well as social and health care professionals and students. 


Memoera trainer is designed to provide entertainment and activity to the life of the person with a memory disorder. Device contains various kind of games which activates different part of the brains and several senses simultaneously.

Digital key management

Opening the lock is done via the smartphone application, but also the original key lock can be used to open the lock. The lock unit can be installed afterwards to the most common door lock models without making holes in the doors. Used e.g. at home care, where the nurse doesn’t have to carry keys of the all customers. Depending on the manufacturer, it can also be connected to the ERP system.

Safety phones/Base stations

A security phone can be used to alert help by pressing the alarm button, which is usually passes around users wrist or neck. In general, the emergency phone itself also has an alarm button. Through the security phone the contact person can talk with the user e.g. person with the memory disorder.

Remote measurement

Elisa Distance measurement is a smartphone application that automatically and in real-time transmits the measurement results from a measuring instrument to health professionals to utilize. The phone application reminds user of the upcoming measurement as well as instructs and gives immediate feedback when measuring. The measurement results can be viewed from the phone application during the study.

GPS tracking systems

GPS devices are developed to secure the movement of the user and to function as a wireless safety phone to a person suffering from a memory disorder.  The GPS system allows the user to move freely inside the area that has been predetermined to the device. If the person with a device has been moved outside the predetermined area the device will make an automatic alert and informs the exact location to the alarm recipients.

Door alarm systems

Door alarms are devices which provide ease and sense of security to the person with a memory disorder and for the close one living with him/her. For example spouse can sleep in peace knowing that the door alarm will alert if the person with a memory disorder tries to leave from the house.

Digital calendar

Digital calendar is an automatically updating electronic calendar which indicates the date, weekday, time and whether it is a morning, daytime, evening or night. Also alarms can be programmed; for example to remind about the daily medication times. The information is easy to read from the big screen. 

Video communication

ANVIA AKKUNA is a care and entertainment service solution targeted especially for elderly users and other special groups. The solution provides video communication, with a possibility to integrate further services, such as tailored videos and music, to the platform. The user interface of the solution is designed to be simple and easy to use while also being customizable. For video communications Akkuna uses Vidyo platform. User interface and features are customizable by needs of customer.

Pill Dispenser

Careousel Advance is an automated pill dispenser, which ensures that the right amount of pills is taken at the right time. The pill doses are added to the dispenser, after which the daily dose times are programmed to the dispenser. Once this is done, the dispenser cover is closed and locked. When it is time to take the pills, the dispenser turns automatically to the next slot and raises a sound and light alarm. The pills are taken by turning the dispenser upside down, which also stops the alarm.
