The Sensor technology service offers possibilities for senior citizens to live safely in their own homes longer. The service  creates safety and a feeling of security to both the senior citizen and his/her relatives.

Opening the lock is done via the smartphone application, but also the original key lock can be used to open the lock. The lock unit can be installed afterwards to the most common door lock models without making holes in the doors. Used e.g. at home care, where the nurse doesn’t have to carry keys of the all customers. Depending on the manufacturer, it can also be connected to the ERP system.

Digital calendar is an automatically updating electronic calendar which indicates the date, weekday, time and whether it is a morning, daytime, evening or night. Also alarms can be programmed; for example to remind about the daily medication times. The information is easy to read from the big screen.

The solution provides video communication, with a possibility to integrate further services, such as tailored videos and music, to the platform. The user interface of the solution is designed to be simple and easy to use while also being customizable. For video communications Akkuna uses Vidyo platform. User interface and features are customizable by needs of customer.

Careousel Advance is an automated pill dispenser, which ensures that the right amount of pills is taken at the right time. The pill doses are added to the dispenser, after which the daily dose times are programmed to the dispenser. Once this is done, the dispenser cover is closed and locked. When it is time to take the pills, the dispenser turns automatically to the next slot and raises a sound and light alarm. The pills are taken by turning the dispenser upside down, which also stops the alarm.

Emfit Safebed is a bed monitoring & alarm system, which can be used for example by athletes for self-monitoring their sleep quality or by caregivers for monitoring elderly persons. The solution monitors its user while s/he is in bed, recording e.g. pulse, respiration rate and movements. The real time information is delivered to a web based user interface. It is also possible to set an immediate or a delayed alarm for times when the user leaves the bed and/or does not return within the given time. This helps to detect potential falls and wandering, which are both common symptoms for persons with memory disorder.
