The aim of this project is to introduce a smart mHealth application based on the augmented reality (AR)-paradigm that can support patients with common problems, related to management of their medication. This smart mHealth application is designed and implemented as a medication coach intelligent agent, called Medication Coach Intelligent Agent (MCIA). The MCIA has to manage different types of information such as the medication plan (medication regime) of the patients, medication restrictions, as well as the patient's preferences and sensor input data from an AR-headset.

A proof-of-concept prototype of the MCIA has been implemented. In this proof-of concept  prototype, the MCIA has been embodied as a smart augmented reality (AR)-mHealth application in the settings of a Microsoft HoloLens.

Umeå University eHealth research is distributed across faculties and is conducted in collaboration with organisations in society. UMeHealth is the common platform for knowledge sharing, dissemination and collaboration in research on future digitized healthcare.

Denna rapport är en sammanfattning av det projektarbete som har genomförts tillsammans med Norrlands Universitetssjukhus under kursen Ingenjörens roll i arbetslivet. Uppdraget för projektet har varit att återskapa 9-Hole Peg Test i Microsoft HoloLens, vilket bl.a. innefattat informationsinsamling, applikations-byggnad och användartest. 9-Hole Peg Test är ett finmotoriskt test som går ut på att flytta nio peggar från en behållare till nio hål på ett bräde och sedan tillbaka. Testet används av bland annat stroke-patienter för att mäta skillnader mellan vänster- respektive höger hand. Slutprodukten blev en version av testet med sfäriska föremål som förflyttas istället för cylindriska peggar. Den digitala versionen av testet har potential till att effektivisera testet, göra det mer mobilt och skapa bättre underlag för analys och påvisning av progression.

The purpose KINESIS is to investigate the role of biomechanical body variables on energy consumption and speed outcome in double poling (DP) cross-country skiers using an artificial intelligence approach. 

The Balansera application was developed with the purpose of increasing levels of participation and motivation to exercise in older adults.The target group was mainly people living at home able and willing to train strength and balance.
